To kick off our active Spring and Summer seasons we attended the Vancouver Island Outdoor Adventure Expo in Victoria on April 1st-3rd. We had many lovely visitor enter our draw and we now have a winner. C. Greenway is the winner of a two night stay at Beach Acres Resort and a sunset kayak paddle with Adventures Sea Kayaking. Local Parks
At Beach Acres Resort, you can enjoy the blue of the ocean at your doorstep or revel in the green of the forest landscape of neighbouring Rathtrevor Provincial Park. But these are far from the only natural gems in the Oceanside region. Eight provincial parks and five regional district parks are all close by. Local Treasures
If enjoying the flora and fauna are on your vacation wish list, try a visit to a fish hatchery, or butterfly gardens or wildlife refuge. After you’ve said hello to the local wild things, how bout a visit to a farmyard or local cheese maker? And you don’t have to be a botanist or a gardener to enjoy either the carefully manicured gardens or wild old-growth rainforest of the area. We recommend everyone visit the "Goats on the Roof" at Coombs Country Market for photos, ice cream and unique finds! Ask our staff about their favourite local place, or visit the links below.

With record snowfalls, a mild temperature and little to no lift lines, Mount Washington is one of Vancouver Island's jewels. Arts & Culture
While the pace of life might be slower here on beautiful Vancouver Island, the Arts and Culture scene of the region is bursting with activity. The magnificence of the landscape has inspired one of the densest gatherings of artists and artisan studios in the province.And while weekends year-round feature the most activity in music and the performing arts, art galleries and self-guided studio tours can be enjoyed most anytime. If history is a passion, visit the Qualicum Beach Museum complex to begin your exploration of First Nations history, or check out the Craig Heritage Museum in Parksville that tells tales from the lives of the area’s first European settlers and farmers.
